Oriental inspiration from Katy Perry to the high street

There is only one person I look out for at music awards ceremonies - Ms Katy Perry. This girl plans meticulously and goes the whole 10 yards with her entire head-to-toe look, she really commits. And the girl has enough chutzpah to pull off any look. Take her Oriental-inspired get up at the 2011 VMAs, par exemple. The baby blue Atelier Versace press is absolutely stunning, with it's embroidered cherry blossom shaped crystals and cut outs. Most would draw the line there but Katy accessoried with a cute matching, killer Jimmy Choos and candy pink hair. She sort of looks part Harajuku girl, part anime babe and totally awesome.

If you feel inspired by Ms Perry and her oriental look, the high street is full of oriental-inspired prints to help you emulate a much more toned down version of her outfit...
