Clarks Original pop-up store

Hands up who remembers the Clarks measuring machine?? I'm pretty sure that genius machine kick started my life long love affair with shoes. I remember shoe shopping being the highlight of any shopping trip, beginning with the all important shoe measuring followed by what seemed like hours picking lovely shoes. I'm not sure how but somewhere along the way, Clarks became 'uncool'. In a bid to shake off that tag, they've launched a pop-up shop on Regents Street for their quirky Clarks Original range.

The Clarks Original pop-up is an entire concept and I've got to say, it's pretty cool. They're hooking up with Strummerville for a week of guerrilla activity. The foundation was set up in memory of Joe Strummer to encourage new music via online showcases, campfire sessions, mentoring and providing rehearsal space. The store is selling classic mens and womens shoes alongside limited edition collaborations for SS11 including some gorgeous floral shoes from Laura Ashley. The ranges build upon the brands heritage and connection with artists such as The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Dizzee Rascal and Florence Welch.
