The Sartorialist behind-the-scenes documentary

I don't think there is anyone who's into fashion that hasn't been influenced by The Sartorialist. Arguably the biggest and most well known street-style blog, his beautiful photographs are impeccable. His phenomenal success stems from a humble desire to plug the disconnect between pieces he sold in his showroom and what real people were actually wearing. He had one strategy: "to try and shoot style in a way that I knew most designers hunted for inspiration. Rarely do they look at the whole outfit as a yes or no but they try and look for the abstract concepts of color, proportion, pattern mixing or mixed genres". As someone who tries to be a good photographer but just hasn't got the photographer's eye, his images fascinate me. There's just something poetic about spending half the day people watching in search of the small details which make an outfit stand out.

Scott Shulman filmed a short 7-minute documentary in association with Intel which gives an insight his world.
