*Drumroll*...Fashion Fix!

Yes, as promised, Fashion Fix is back from it's hiatus. And with no further ado...
Love, love
Katie Grand's much anticipate magazine Love is set to drop on the eve of London Fashion Week, 19th Feb. With Beth Ditto on the cover, Darya Kurovska editorials and both Lara Stone and Agyness Deyn appearing, the launch has the fashion world in a frenzy. It's going to be handed out at all shows handled by Mandi Lennard, that would be House of Holland, Gareth Pugh. Roksanda Ilincic, Eley Kishimoto, Danielle Scutt...basically anyone who's anyone! Oh Stella! Campaign images had all but stopped, when I spied the Stella McCartney Spring 09 campaign. Looks beautiful, very different to most of the other adverts. Kate Moss and Angela Lindvall shot by Ryan McGinley.
Look on the bright side I'm usually too preoccupied with thoughts of Ms Wintour or Ms Roitfeld to pay Alexandra Schulman much attention. But she does make an excellent point about the current economic climate, when she reflected on the outcome of the 90s recession; "At that time a whole slew of new designers bubbled up – like McQueen, Stella McCartney, Hussein Chayalan, Clements Ribeiro. A new generation came up through that period. I'm not sure whether it encourages creativity, whether it's because people are looking for alternatives to what's fed to them on a mass scale, whether they are more interested in what's happening on the underground, or what it is, but you do get new names, new businesses, during recessions. Things happen. It can be quite an exciting time creatively. And old names often die" Less glitz and hardly any glamour for MJ Hot on the heels of news that Marc Jacobs was cancelling his always anticipated fashion show afterparty, there's further news that the guest list for the show has been severely slashed, 700 seated from 1,100 and a mere 200 standing from 900. President of Marc Jacobs International, Robert Duffy explained: “This isn’t the time to spend the money to entertain the entire world". Yikes, not even Marc is immune from the pinch. Ou est la collection?! Erin Wasson's collection for RVCA was supposed to hit stores a couple of days ago but is totally AWOL. Apparently, it's been delayed for a week, no reason was given. Sounds a bit fishy, but Erin is keeping busy working on the Fall 2009 collection. New Nina Nina Ricci is definitely making serious changes. Rumours are have been circulating for a while about Oliver Theyskens' fate with the label, management are looking to move the label in a more commercial direction. And they aren't wasting any time, if this Nina Ricci Spring 09 campaign image is anything to go by. Gone are the edgy Natasha Poly images, replaced with very beautiful images of Natalia Vodianova. And on a side note, is anyone attending the IFB event at London Fashion Week? I've got my invite but I'm scared I wont know anyone! * Source Fashionologie, Fashionista
