London, Paris, NY, Milan...Sydney?

Ok so Australia is more likely to conjure up images of kangaroos, the Sydney Opera House and surfing on Bondi Beach...but the country down under has plenty to offer besides those typical stereotypes. I’m lucky enough to have plenty of family over in Sydney, so I’ve been over plenty of times and absolutely love the shopping. Everything’s always pretty cheap and oversees stores always have this weird novelty factor because they’re so different to home. I normally hit SportsGirl, Just Jeans, Myer and whatever new shops have popped up over the city.

In recent years, there has been an influx of hot Australian designers. Sass & Bide, Bettina Liano and Ksubi have denim covered. Labels such as Alannah Hill, One Teaspoon, Camilla & Marc and Lisa Ho have long been representing Australian fashion globally.

Last time I was over, I noticed some gorgeous bags by a company called Mogil, they were made out of gorgeous leather and had lot of little details and zips. It’s been pretty easy to get some of the bigger labels while I’ve been back in the UK (albeit with wildly inflated prices...) but I hadn’t really seen Mogil until I stumbled upon some on ASOS (which is blocked while I’m at work, grrrr!). Again, the prices are a lot higher than in Australia, but with bags this gorgeous, who can resist? Especially as they’re hand made.
